  • The promotional offer will continue till March 31
  • The company has been estimated to reach 100 million users by March end

After the expiration of company's Welcome Offer on December 31 last month, Reliance Jio's Happy New Year Offer has come into effect from Sunday and set the per day data cap (high-speed) for all service users at 1GB. As part of the promotional offer, users will be able to make unlimited phone calls and enjoy 1GB of free high-speed data per day till March 31.

To recall, Reliance Jio was offering 4GB of high-speed Internet data and unlimited voice calls per day as part of its Jio Welcome Offer that ended last month. On December 1, the company's Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced that the company was extending its free services till March 31 through its Jio Happy New Year Offer, which was applicable to all the SIM cards acquired from December 4.

As per an analyst report from last month, the user base for Reliance Jio is expected to reach 100 million by the end of March this year. However, the report clarified that this user base is expected to shrink after the company starts charging users for its services. The prices for prepaid plans available after March 31 have already been detailed by the company, as have the postpaid plans.
