In addition, The Verge also quotes sources familiar with company's plans, who suggest that the alleged Nokia tablet is codenamed Illusionist and that it will be released next year. The site further claims that the alleged Nokia Illusionist tablet will be powered by a Qualcomm processor and will run Windows RT 8.1, just like the Nokia Lumia 2520 which was launched at Nokia World in October.
The Illusionist tablet is thought to sport a similar design to the Lumia 2520 tablet, the report adds, and that it will come with a lower Lumia model number to differentiate it from the larger 10.1-inch sibling - it may just be the Lumia 2320. The site also notes that the tablet can be expected to be released alongside Nokia's affordable Lumia 1320 phablet next year.
Earlier, Nokia entered into the tablet segment with the launch of its first Windows RT tablet, the Lumia 2520. The Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet runs Windows RT 8.1. The tablet comes with a 10.1-inch full-HD IPS LCD display that boasts of enhanced outdoor readability and Corning Gorilla Glass 2. On the camera front, the tablet sports a 6.7-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics and an f/1.9 aperture, the same as found on the Nokia Lumia 720. There is also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB of RAM. The tablet also comes with 32GB inbuilt storage which can be further expandable up to an additional 32GB with microSD card. It packs an 8000mAh battery.
