Lenovo on Wednesday launched the Tab 7 in India with a price tag of Rs. 9,999. The new Android tablet is exclusively available on Flipkart and comes with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology and a front-facing speaker.
Customers buying the Lenovo Tab 7 from Flipkart can opt for a discount of five percent by placing their orders using an Axis Bank Buzz credit card. The tablet is also available with no-cost EMIs that start from Rs. 1,111 a month.
Targeted at Indian families, the Lenovo Tab 7 features a 6.98-inch IPS display with an HD (1280x720 pixels) resolution. The tablet has a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Also, it has 16GB onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The tablet sports a 5-megapixel camera sensor at the rear with an LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera sensor.
Lenovo has provided Android 7.0 Nougat on the Tab 7 with a list of proprietary apps and features. There is a multi-user, multi-space support that provides you with a secure personal space and helps you share the tablet with your friends and family members without giving access to your content. The custom support gives each of its users access to separate settings, password, wallpapers, and social media networks. Additionally, the tablet comes preloaded with apps such as Lenovo Framework, Lenovo Account, Google Calendar, and Google Sheets among others.
On the connectivity front, the Lenovo Tab 7 has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS, and Micro-USB with USB OTG. It also has a SIM card slot to support 4G LTE for data access and voice calls, alongside support for WCDMA and GSM networks. The tablet packs a 3500mAh lithium-polymer battery that is claimed to deliver up to 10 hours of playback time on a single charge. Besides, it weighs 260 grams and is 8.4mm thick.
