HCL Infosystems has announced the launch of company's first Ice Cream Sandwich tablet in the country. Dubbed as Me Tab U1, it has been priced at Rs 7,999 and will be available soon in the market.

Company has also revealed two student focused versions of Me Tab U1; they will be known as MyEdu Tab K12 and MyEdu Tab HE and will come with pre-loaded educational content. MyEdu tablets will be sold for Rs 11,499 and Rs 9,999 respectively.

MyEdu tablets will feature NCERT content, quizzes, solved examples, problem solver, educational applications and other curated interactive content for students.

According to the company, all the three tablets come with a 7 inch capacitive display, 1GHz single core processor and a front camera. They will also have Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G support via USB modem, and 4GB of internal storage. On the downside, HCL tablets do not come with Google suite of applications or the Play Store, so you will have to get additional apps from the pre-loaded SlideMe Appstore on the tablet.
