Acer Iconia W3, the first Windows 8 tablet in the world with a 8.1-inch screen, has made its India debut, a few weeks after it was launched at Computex.
Acer Iconia W3 is powered by a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2760 processor and is rated at 8 hours of 720p video playback a single charge. The tablet comes with a 1280x800 pixels LED-backlit display with ten-point multi-touch. It comes with 2-megapixel front and rear cameras and connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB and Micro-HDMI.
The device weighs 540 grams and is 11.35mm thick. With storage options of 32GB and 64GB, the device also includes a microSD card slot that will allow up to 32GB of external storage. The Acer Iconia W3 comes with a pre-installed copy of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 on top of Microsoft Windows 8.
Acer Iconia W3 comes with an optional full-size Bluetooth keyboard that is also capable of holding the tablet upright from typing and doubles up as a screen-protector/ cover for the tablet when not in use.
Acer Iconia W3 will be available for Rs. 30,499 for the 32GB variant, though the company is offering the tablet for Rs. 27,999 "for a limited time."
