The historic selfie, that became the most-retweeted moment in Twitter's history in less than an hour, continues to inspire reactions.
"If only Bradley's arm was longer. Best photo ever #oscars", said DeGeneres in the tweet that had over 3 million retweets and had been favourited over 1.5 million times at last count.
First, it was LG that said that if only "Ellen had a G2 she would've taken this selfie her self", with a picture of the LG G2 showing its button at the back. While, the logic behind LG's tweet is debatable, the company sure seemed to enjoy its moment in the spotlight.

While LG and Lenovo were having their fun, Samsung was basking in the glory of getting way-more publicity than it could've imagined. The Wall Street Journal confirmed the airtime the Samsung devices got was very much paid-for.
While the stunt felt spontaneous, it wasn't entirely unplanned. As part of its sponsorship and ad pact for the Oscars with ABC, the TV network airing the show, Samsung and its media buying firm Starcom MediaVest negotiated to have its Galaxy smartphone integrated into the show, according to two people familiar with the matter. ABC is a unit of Walt Disney Co.Samsung gave ABC smartphones to use during the broadcast and was promised its devices would get airtime, these people said. At least one of the product plugs was planned: during the "red carpet" preshow, ABC ran a clip of six aspiring young filmmakers touring Disney Studios. The group were seen in the video using Samsung devices.
