Micromax's subsidiary Yu Televentures seems set to launch a new mid-range smartphone, as a device codenamed Yu5530 has been spotted in a Geekbench benchmark listing - tipping some innards of the handset.

According to benchmark listing, the Yu5530 will feature an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) processor clocked at 1.8GHz, and come with 4GB of RAM. The device is said to run Android 5.1 Lollipop, and may sport Cyanogen OS, though that is not listed in the benchmark listing (via Priceraja). The Yu5530 scores 816 in single core test while gets a multi-core score 3059.

Yu Televentures recently unveiled the Yu Yureka Note phablet in India, priced at Rs. 13,499. The handset went on sale via offline mobile stores. The alleged Yu5530 is likely to be priced between the Yu Yureka Note and the company's flagship Yu Yutopia smartphone that was launched last year.

The biggest highlight of the Yu Yureka Note running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop was the 6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 370ppi. It came with an octa-core MediaTek MTK6753T processor under-the-hood, clubbed with 3GB of RAM.

Other specifications of the Yureka Note included a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone came with dual speakers with NXP smart PA technology. It came equipped with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. On the connectivity front, it supported 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity. A 4000mAh battery backed the handset. Another notable addition in the Yureka Note was the fingerprint sensor, and was claimed to be able to unlock the phablet in less than half a second.

Update: A previous version of this article incorrectly referred to MediaTek's MT6755 SoC as the Helio X10. It is in fact, the Helio P10.
