Xiaomi Mi 6 has been leaked on many occasions, and the flagship is said to be unveiled sometime this month. Running up to the rumoured launch, the device has been spotted on GFXBench revealing key specifications of the device. Separately, the Mi Max 2 has also been leaked on GFXBench, giving us some specification details on the big upcoming phablet as well.
Starting off with the Mi 6, the GFXBench listing reveals that the smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat - an heretofore unreleased version of MIUI, the company's custom ROM. It will feature a 5.1-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) display, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. It is tipped to offer 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage as well. As for camera, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is tipped to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording support and an 8-megapixel front snapper capable of 4K recording as well.
This is a bit different from previous leaks that suggest a QHD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges, 256GB of inbuilt storage, dual rear camera setup, and a 4000mAh battery. Past rumours also suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will allegedly be launched in 4GB of RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB variants priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 19,000), CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 21,800) and CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 25,600), respectively. There will also be a bigger Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, tipped to be offered in 4GB of RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB, which will reportedly be priced at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 24,700), CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 28,500) and CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 33,200), respectively.
Coming to the Mi Max 2, the GFXBench listing has codenamed the phone as Xiaomi Oxygen, but its 6.4-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) panel helps clear the doubt. The listing also reveals that the Mi Max 2 will pack a 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, 12-megapiel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and NFC support.
This pretty much falls in line with previous rumours which also suggests that the smartphone will be powered by the yet-to-be unveiled Snapdragon 660 processor, and packs a 5000mAh battery. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is tipped to launch in May.
