The Wickedleak Wammy One is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs the Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 5-inch (540x960 pixels) qHD IPS OGS (one-glass solution) display and also features Dragontrail glass protection.
The new Wammy series smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek (MT6592) processor (unspecified clock speed) with a Mali-450 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI II sensor and LED flash. There is also a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera onboard the Wammy One.
On the connectivity front, the Wammy One includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, Micro-USB, A-GPS, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 2800mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 264 hours of standby time. It measures 145x70x7.7mm and will be available in Black and Slate Grey, and Crystal White and Gold.
Announcing the launch of Wickedleak Wammy One, Aditya Mehta, CEO, Wickedleak said, "We are extremely happy and proud to launch Wickedleak Wammy One. We are targeting the masses by launching the smartphone at a very affordable price. Now gaming, watching movies and online videos will be an altogether new experience for users. We have brought down the price to offer better value to our users by monetizing the Android OS."
Wickedleak back in September launched a budget tablet, the Wammy Desire 3, priced at Rs. 5,990. The Wickedleak Wammy Desire 3 tablet comes with voice-calling feature, 3G support, and runs Android KitKat - some of the highlights of the tablet at this price point.
