The smartphone packs in 8GB of internal storage (4GB available to the user). The memory can be expanded by up to 64GB via microSD card. Samsung is also offering 50GB of cloud space through Dropbox with the purchase of this smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Grand has a 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2-megapixel one on the front. Samsung claims that the front camera supports zero shutter-lag and has a ultra-quick camera start-up. It comes with a 2,100mAh battery. The smartphones comes pre-loaded with a host of applications such as Chat On, Games Hub and 'My Services'.
Samsung Galaxy Grand is a dual-SIM, dual-standby smartphone, though Samsung claims to use its software to forward calls from one number to the other, when busy. It also comes with what Samsung dubs as the 'Smart Dual SIM' feature that allows the users the flexibility of selecting different mobile billing plans for either SIM which allows switching between them to make the most of competitive call and data plans.
Samsung is trying to sweeten the deal for the customers by offering free Flip Cover along with the purchase of Samsung Galaxy Grand smartphone. The uses can also download music and movies through 'My Services' worth Rs. 8000. The company has also tied up with Vodafone and offering 2GB data download free per month for the first two months.

I feel the Galaxy Grand will further fuel the growth of the Smartphone market in India and will especially delight consumers looking for a great Smart Dual SIM phone. The Galaxy Grand best meets the growing consumer preference for a large screen device that gives them a great multimedia experience and superior performance."
With the launch of Samsung Galaxy Grand, the Korean smartphone maker now offers a range of six dual-SIM smartphones in the Indian market and a total of 14 smartphones that range from Rs. 6,990 to Rs. 39,900. The company also claims that as per the latest GfK reports it currently enjoys 40 percent market share in the Indian handset market and 45 percent share in the Indian smartphone market.
Samsung had launched around 40 mobile phones in 2012 and the company plans to offer a similar number of devices across various price points in the current calendar year as well.
