  • This Samsung Galaxy J4 variant was launched at a price of Rs. 9,990

Samsung launched the Galaxy J4 in May, and made it available in India in last month. Now, the company appears to have dropped the price in the Indian market by Rs. 500. Samsung launched the Galaxy J4 in two variants in India - 2GB RAM/ 16GB inbuilt storage, and 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage. Notably, the smartphone comes with Android Oreo, sports dual-SIM slot, a Super AMOLED display, 3000mah battery, and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED selfie flash.

The Samsung Galaxy J4 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant was launched with a price tag of Rs. 9,990, and now Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom claims that the price of the smartphone has been reduced to Rs. 9,490. This means a price drop of Rs. 500 in fewer than two months since launch. The new price is already reflecting on Amazon as well as the company site, but it remains uncertain whether this price is permanent or a temporary offer. The 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant does not reflect any price cut, and is being sold on Amazon India for Rs. 11,990. We have contacted Samsung regarding this price reduction of the 16GB variant, and will update this copy when we hear back.
