Listed by Oppo Mart, which is a third-party online retailer, the OnePlus X can be seen sporting a price tag of $249 (approximately Rs. 16,500), which corroborates with a previous leak. TimesNews spotted the listing (now pulled down) first and claims that the variant listed on the retailer was an international model.
A recent leak however had tipped that the OnePlus X may come with a price tag of CNY 1,399 which translates roughly to Rs. 14,500 or $220. The latest report tips the CNY 1,399 pricing leaked earlier was the China-only pricing of the handset.
According to the retailer, the handset will feature a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display; Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor; 3GB RAM; 16GB inbuilt storage; 13-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera. OnePlus X was earlier said to feature an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 SoC instead of a Qualcomm SoC, according to Amazon India listing.
OnePlus last week announced it would hold events in London, India, Beijing, and Jakarta among others on October 29. The official teaser image included image of a letter 'X' lit with a dark background hinting at the arrival of OnePlus X. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had also teased the 'X' name for the next smartphone in a Weibo post.
We will have to wait till October 29 to see what OnePlus has to offer.
