According to the latest details, the OnePlus Mini may be priced at $250 (approximately Rs. 16,500) and will be launched in November or December.
As per the new leaked details, the next OnePlus smartphone will finally feature a MediaTek chipset - MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795T coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. A recently leaked AnTuTu benchmark listing also suggested MT6795T SoC for the OnePlus Mini. The handset is said to feature a 5-inch IPS display with full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) screen resolution. It is likely to sport Corning Gorilla Glass 3 or 4 cover alongside an oleophobic and hydrophobic coating on top.
For the cameras, the OnePlus Mini is said to feature a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording, and dual-tone LED flash. The smartphone is said to feature a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The leaked details coming from GforGames add that the OnePlus Mini will pack the same sensor as seen on the recently launched Xiaomi Mi 4c.
The handset is expected to pack a 3000-3100mAh non-removable battery alongside the USB Type-C port. Other rumoured connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and Wi-Fi. The OnePlus Mini, unlike the OnePlus 2, is said to feature fingerprint scanner on the back panel instead of the home button - this is in line with leaked images. Notably, the recently unveiled Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P also feature back-fitted fingerprint scanners. The upcoming mini-variant is also likely to be a water-resistant and dust-resistant device with IP67 certification.
Corroborating the new leaked details, a previously leaked image of the alleged OnePlus Mini showed the design of the handset including the fingerprint scanner and a dual-camera setup at the back. The cameras were accompanied by a dual-LED flash module in the leaked image. The bottom panel was seen featuring a speaker grille alongside the charging slot.
