HMD Global - the custodians of the Nokia brand - have announced that the modern avatar of the iconic Nokia 3310 will be priced at Rs. 3,310 in India. The 2G-enabled feature phone will be a walk down memory lane for fans of both the classic phone as well as biggest mobile phone brand of the 2000s, as it brings back the familiar form factor, long battery life, and Snake game with features that make it suitable for the modern world.

Nokia 3310 release date in India

The Nokia 3310 (2017) will be released in India on Thursday, May 18 via offline stores only. The company will be selling the handset in four colour options: Warm Red and Yellow (both with a gloss finish), and Dark Blue and Grey (both with a matte finish). With the Nokia 3310 feature phone, HMD Global aims to cater to those who want a simple handset as their primary handset, as well as those who want a secondary phone.

As earlier reported by Gadgets 360, the Nokia 3310 is being unveiled in India ahead of the Nokia Android phones. The new Nokia 3310 stole the limelight at the company's MWC 2017 global launch event and received an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response at the event. It sports a refreshed design, keeping the rounded edges and sturdy build iconic to the original 3310. The new curved screen window is designed for better "readability in sunlight." The phone also sports new push buttons and a new UI with similarities to the original.
