LG has finally officially revealed the LG G2 Mini, by posting a teaser image on its Facebook page, which depicts objects in pairs, one big, and one small. The last of the images clearly shows the LG G2, and a smaller smartphone besides it.
The LG teaser image (complete image seen below) on the Facebook page is also accompanied by a tagline, saying: "Experience the MINI. Mobile World Congress. 2014-02-24.", which clearly signifies a February 24 announcement for the G2 Mini.
For now, no official LG G2 Mini specifications have been revealed, though we can expect the device to feature a similar build (including the famous rear buttons from the G2) as the LG G2, in a smaller form factor, and more basic specifications. Earlier rumoured specifications have been contradictory, with reports of it either sporting 4.3-inch qHD display, or a 4.7-inch display.
Other rumoured specifications for the LG G2 Mini (accompanied by the 4.7-inch display leak) suggest the smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM, though if the 4.3-inch qHD display turns out to be real, this seems unlikely.
Notably, the LG G Pro 2 was expected to be launched at MWC 2014, however, a leaked invite for a February 13 event in Seoul, Korea, with the tagline "Knock-knock knockin' on", is sufficient fuel for speculation that the device would be launched on Thursday.
The LG G Pro 2 was officially confirmed by the company's social newsroom, with an unspecified February launch date. No specifications have been officially detailed however. Previously leaks though, have given us a rough idea of what to expect - a full-HD display (1080x1920 pixels), a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 graphics, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of inbuilt storage (no word on expandable storage).
The LG G Pro 2 is also expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera in tow. It is said to run Android 4.4 KitKat, though there is no word on the company's proprietary UI.
