Karbonn Titanium S19 'Selfie Smartphone' Launched at Rs. 8,999

Karbonn Mobiles on Wednesday launched the Titanium S19 smartphone at Rs. 8,999 in its new 'Selfie' range of smartphones. Earlier, the smartphone had gone on sale via a third-party retailer at the same price.

"Selfies are increasingly becoming a medium of self-expression amongst youth contributing to its phenomenal popularity across social media platforms. Catering to the consumers' demand for smartphones equipped with superior camera features, Karbonn has launched a dynamic smartphone device powered with advanced photography features & interactive camera apps for superior picture and video quality," said Shashin Devsare, Executive Director, Karbonn Mobiles.

The dual-SIM Karbonn Titanium S19 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, and features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS OGS display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The Titanium S19 smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with LED flash, and there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.

The inbuilt storage on the handset is 8GB, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). Various connectivity options on the Titanium S19 smartphone include 3G, EDGE/ GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The Karbonn Titanium S19 packs a 2000mAh Li-ion battery and is available in Black and White colours.

The company has recently started offering its octa-core smartphones - Titanium Octane and Titanium Octane Plus - at discounted prices in partnership with Snapdeal from August 15 till stocks last.

The Titanium Octane's price has been reduced by Rs. 2,500, while the Titanium Octane Plus' has been reduced by Rs. 4,000. The company will be selling the Titanium Octane at Rs. 11,990 instead of its launch price of Rs. 14,490, and the Titanium Octane Plus will be available at Rs. 13,990 instead of the Rs. 17,990 price it was launched at.
