Hours before the event where HTC is expected to announce the HTC One ('M7'), a new press photo has made an appearance online on French site,
NoWhereElse. The press renders confirm the presence of variants in two colours, silver/white and black/grey. The images also offer a peek at the back of the phone which features chamfered edges towards the top and bottom, a big camera lens and flash, HTC branding and the BeatsAudio logo, confirming the presence of Beats Audio sound technology on the phone. The images also point to a slim profile and front speakers. While one image has a weather widget in the phone that displays London as the location, the others display a refreshed gallery app, and a video player screen, giving us a peep into the new version of HTC's Sense UI.
Just a day back, a press render of the phone was
revealed in a Black/Grey variant on Twitter, courtesy @evleaks. Last week, @evleaks had
posted a picture of the silver/white variant of the phone. Taking a look at all the images, one can notice that the phone features a very thin bezel and sports dimensions and design that look similar to the iPhone 5, rather than the big Android phones that we've seen off late. It also seems to feature only two capacitative touch buttons, Back and Home, instead of the usual three or even four buttons that are found on typical Android phones.
The HTC One is rumoured to come with 4.7-inch 1080p display and is expected to be powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor alongside 2GB RAM. It is said to have a 4.3 'ultrapixel' rear camera and run on Android 4.2 skinned with a layer of the brand new Sense 5.0 UI.
The phone is expected to be announced in London in a few hours and is likely to go on sale in UK from March.
