Google's current flagship smartphone, the Nexus 6, is now available to purchase at a discounted price of Rs. 34,999. The handset with new price tag is available on e-commerce site Flipkart but it's not clear if the new price is just a part of its regular limited-time offers or a permanent drop.
While the Nexus 6's 32GB version is currently priced at Rs. 34,999, the 64GB version can be purchased at Rs. 39,999. The 32GB version continues to be listed on Google Play at Rs. 44,000 and the 64GB version is available at 49,000.
Flipkart is also running an exchange offer, using which customers can buy the 32GB Nexus 6 at as low as Rs. 29,999 and 64GB at Rs. 34,999. Almost all the major smartphone brands and models are eligible for the exchange offer.
The Google Nexus 6, which is manufactured by Motorola, comes with a 5.96-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display at a pixel density of 493ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor alongside 3GB of RAM. Nexus 6 comes with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear and front cameras respectively.
Recent rumours suggest the search giant might stick with its Nexus brand and launch not one but two handsets this year, and no tablet. Both handsets will reportedly by released in the traditional October launch period for Nexus devices. Google is said to be working on two Nexus smartphones, of which the smaller is reportedly being manufactured by LG, and the larger by Huawei.
