The Taiwanese company has revealed that currently only the 32GB variant with 3GB RAM priced at Rs. 17,999 will be available to buy. Meanwhile, the Asus ZenFone Selfie 16GB inbuilt storage variant with 2GB RAM priced at Rs. 15,999 will go on sale starting September 30. Flipkart is currently only selling the Aqua Blue and Pink colour versions of the ZenFone Selfie smartphone.
The ZenFone Selfie sports 13-megapixel rear and front cameras, a highlight of the device at this price point, with f/2.0 aperture, 28mm focal length, and dual-colour Real Tone flash. The rear camera features a laser autofocus module in addition. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (1.7GHz quad-core and 1GHz quad-core) processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
Other specifications include a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display; expandable storage support via microSD card (up to 64GB); running Android 5.0 Lollipop with the ZenUI skin on top; 3000mAh battery; 4G LTE; 156.5x77.2x10.8mm, and 170 grams.
Last month, Asus apart from ZenFone Selfie started taking pre-bookings for the ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5, and ZenFone 2 Deluxe smartphones.
The ZenFone 2 Deluxe 64GB inbuilt storage variant priced at Rs. 22,999 was available for pre-orders. Two variants of the the ZenFone 2 Laser went up for pre-orders with the ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 with 2GB of RAM and Snapdragon 410 priced at Rs. 9,999, and the ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 with 3GB of RAM and Snapdragon 615 at Rs. 13,999.
