Said to be called the ZenFone Go ZC500TG, the smartphone will reportedly pack a quad-core MediaTek processor with 2GB of RAM. It is said to feature a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) and come with 8GB of built-in storage with no word on expandable storage support. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera in the ZenFone Go apart from a 2-megapixel front camera.
Mobiltelefon.ru claims that the handset supports 3G only, unlike the complete ZenFone 2 smartphone series that supports 4G LTE connectivity.
All these leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt as Asus has not mentioned anything about the upcoming device and the legitimacy of the leak remains questionable.
Last month, Asus at Computex revealed new ZenFone 2 models featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets instead of the Intel chipsets. The new handsets launched at Computex include the ZenFone 2 ZE500KL, ZenFone 2 ZE550KL, and ZenFone 2 ZE600KL smartphones.
The Taiwanese company also launched the new ZenFone Selfie smartphone alongside its next-generation ZenWatch 2 and the new ZenPad tablets. The highlight of the Asus ZenFone Selfie is it sports both 13-megapixel rear and front cameras with f/2.0 aperture, 28mm focal length, and dual-colour Real Tone flash. The rear camera features a laser autofocus module in addition. Asus's Zen UI packs few camera improvement tools such as low light mode, Selfie Panorama mode, backlight (HDR) mode, enhanced beautification mode, manual mode, and zero shutter lag.
