Camera maker GoPro on Thursday announced the global launch of three new action cameras in its latest Hero 7 range. These include the new GoPro Hero 7 Black, Hero 7 Silver, and Hero 7 White. The action cameras were subsequently launched in the Indian market on Friday. The most premium of the lot, the Hero 7 Black, offers 4K video recording at 60fps; the Hero 7 Silver records 4K footage at 30fps, while the Hero 7 White records 1080p video but at 60fps. All of three GoPro Hero 7 models offer water resistance up to 10 metres and feature 2-inch touchscreen panels.
GoPro Hero 7 Black price in India has been set at Rs. 37,000, while it will be sold in the US for $399 (roughly Rs. 28,800). The GoPro Hero 7 Silver will be sold in India for Rs. 28,000, and for $299 (around Rs. 21,600) in the US. Lastly, the most affordable GoPro Hero 7 White comes in at Rs. 19,000 in India and $199 (approximately Rs. 14,400) in the US. Availability in the Indian market for all three models starts from Thursday, September 27 and US customers can start buying it from Sunday, September 30. Pre-orders on GoPro.com have already gone live.
The GoPro Hero 7 has a 12-megapixel sensor and comes with HyperSmooth Stabilization mode that claims to offer gimbal-like stabilisation without the need of a physical gimbal, automatic live sharing, TimeWarp video feature, SuperPhoto mode, enhanced audio, portrait mode, photo timer, and an ultra slo-mo mode that records footage in 1080p resolution at 240fps which is 8x slower than normal.
The Hero 7 Black also comes with verbal commands with support for a total of 14 languages. The GoPro app offers on-the-go sharing when the camera is connected. Users can also add GPS-based stickers to their videos using the GoPro app available on Android and iOS.
GoPro Hero 7 Silver, Hero 7 White specifications
Both the GoPro Hero 7 Silver and Hero 7 White sport 10-megapixel image sensors each. Both of them feature a 2-inch LCD panel, have the ability to shoot vertically, and come with features like 2x slow motion video recording, Short Clips, photo timer, voice control, and auto-transfer using the app.
