Fujifilm launches FinePix SL300 - 14MP, 30x optical zoom, Rs. 19,499

FujiFilm India has announced the launch of FinePix SL300. Following the tradition of FujiFilm's popular S-series cameras, FinePix SL300 aims to offer "the image quality and versatility of a DSLR" combined with "the convenience and portability of a compact camera".

Fujifilm FinePix SL300 features a 14-megapixel CCD sensor with sensor-shift image stabilisation, a 30x optical zoom with a focal range of 24-720mm, 720p HD video at 30fps, a bright 3 inch 460k dot LCD screen, faster start-up, improved auto-focus speed and an upgraded response time.

The highlight of the new FinePix SL300 is, of course, the Fujinon optical zoom lenses, which offer a high-quality 30x optical zoom. With a close-focus distance of 2 cm, users can also capture precise close-up details.

The addition of a zoom lever on the barrel of the lens is a nice touch that will let photographers zoom in and out without taking their hands away from the camera. The SL300 comes with an internal flash and a hot-shoe for connecting an external flash.

With the newly incorporated lithium-ion battery, FinePix SL300 offers convenience with longevity, which is one of the important features that youngsters look for," said Mr. K Tanaka, Managing Director, Fujifilm India.

The Fujifilm FinePix SL300 carries a two-year warranty is available starting today across leading retail and online stores with a MRP of Rs. 19,499.
