Additionally, the company also announced that Karbonn Mobiles will be now offering the Peel Smart Remote app in its devices across India. Peel in a press statement revealed that Xolo, Celkon and Alcatel OneTouch have already joined hands to offer its smart remote app in their devices.
The company added that India has been a growing market for Peel as it doubled the number of users in India "every six months."
"Peel operates on all mainstream brands of TVs and air conditioners sold in India, and 600 set-top boxes, including Airtel, Tata Sky, Dish TV, Hathway, DEN and Siti Cable," the company said. The company also claimed that it has over 100 million users worldwide who generate more than 7 billion remote commands a month.

The firm added that new flagships Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 smartphones also come preloaded with Peel Smart Remote app.
Commenting on the launch, Peel Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer Bala Krishnan said, "Our customers, particularly in India and China, have pushed us to extend our universal remote capabilities beyond TVs, set-top boxes and other entertainment devices, and include additional categories of home electronics. A Peel-in living room experience might involve simultaneously turning on your TV and sound system, closing the blinds, adjusting room temperature and lowering the lights, all with the tap of one button."
