Amazon is commemorating the Amazon Appstore's fourth birthday on Sunday, and to celebrate the occasion, on Thursday announced a new Free App of the Day Bundle with 34 paid Android apps and games worth up to $105 (roughly Rs. 6,600) available for free.
The apps are available for Android and Kindle Fire devices. While Amazon has not detailed the period of the Free App of the Day Bundle offer, it is expected to end on Sunday on the birthday itself. To recall, Amazon Appstore was launched on March 22, 2011.
There are several new entrants to this time's Amazon Appstore for Android Free App of the Day Bundle, such as Super Why!, Unpossible, Slingshot Racing, and Cross DJ Pro. Returning apps include Cut the Rope, HanDBase Database Manager, and OpenDocument Reader.
Notably, users will need to sideload the Amazon Appstore for Android to be able to download and install the apps on their Android device. You can follow the instructions here to install Amazon Appstore on your Android device. After installing the app, you can get these paid apps for free by visiting this page, with the install from 'Unknown sources' options turned on from Security settings. Remember to turn this option off for your own safety after you're done.
