Xiaomi is starting the new year with the launch of the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G, which it claims is India's fastest charging smartphone. While multiple manufacturers have been pushing faster charging as a selling point, Xiaomi is the first company to launch a smartphone capable of 120W fast charging in India. The 11i HyperCharge 5G is supposed to charge completely in just 15 minutes. So, is this phone just a one-trick pony, or can it take on the competition in other aspects as well? I put it to the test to find out.
Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G mobile was launched on 6th January 2022. The phone comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.67-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display sports Gorilla Glass for protection. Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor. It comes with 6GB, 8GB of RAM. The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G runs Android 11 and is powered by a 4500mAh battery. The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G supports proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 108-megapixel (f/1.89, 0.7-micron) primary camera, and an 8-megapixel (f/2.2, 1.0-micron) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture and a pixel size of 1.0-micron.
The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G runs MIUI is based on Android 11 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 1000GB). The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G measures 163.65 x 76.19 x 8.34mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 204.00 grams. It was launched in Camo Green, Pacific Pearl, Purple Mist, and Stealth Black colours.
