 The business model of selling a game is slightly tricky. You can keep it free, or sell it for some amount and have some in-game microtransactions, which can make game makers greedy. Here are 7 instances when they weren't.

CD Projekt Red - Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

It's been five years since this game came out and it's still fresh. Sure, the expansion for this was paid, but other DLCs like armours, hairstyles and contracts that could easily have been plagued by microtransactions weren't.

Titanfall 2 is a very underrated game, mainly because it came out at a time when Battlefield 1 and COD: Infinite Warfare were launched. Despite that, the developers had faith and they rolled out one free DLC after another.

Digital Extremes - Warframe

A player performed a microtransaction of 67 cents for 200 times on a virtual pet randomiser! That amounts to almost Rs. 10,000! The developers quickly spotted this, and removed that instead of mooching money off customers. Thank you!

Techland - Dying Light

This game was three years old when its first DLC came out. It brought some crucial updates and a silencer. Now you may think it's not a big deal, but that completely changed the dynamics of the game. And it was for free!

Tripwire - Rising Storm 2: Vietnam

Instead of leaching off modders for popularity, the makers of this game actually paid them to come up with the best maps and mods. Modding community is greatly under-appreciated, but kudos to Tripwire for this.

Insomniac Games - Spider-Man (2014)

This game was received well by the fans for its story and graphics, but the only thing missing was the classic Spider-Man costume from the 2002 movie, something everyone thought they had to pay for once it came out. But nope, the developers added that for free!
