OnePlus India, after revealing the pricing of the Cardboard, has now announced that the virtual reality (VR) headset will be available in India starting Friday. The OnePlus Cardboard will be available exclusively via Amazon India, much like other OnePlus products.

Earlier this month, the company announced that the Cardboard virtual reality (VR) headset would be available in India at Rs. 99 via Amazon India (shipping charges excluding) starting the third week of July.

To recall, OnePlus Cardboard has been tailored perfectly to fit the One smartphone and can be easily assembled. The OnePlus Cardboard meets Cardboard 2.0 features alongside featuring few more improvements. The Cardboard package despite being 20 percent smaller than Google's Cardboard offers the same amazing visual experience. The OnePlus Cardboard has been designed for the OnePlus One; though it is compatible with devices up to 6 inches in size.

The company has already revealed that its second flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 2, will be launching on July 27 and the announcement will be made at a virtual reality event.

The Chinese company recently at its Reddit AMAA (Ask Me Almost Anything) session extensively detailed its upcoming OnePlus 2 smartphone.

The company said the OnePlus 2 would be compact in size as compared to OnePlus One. It was not yet clear whether the display size had also been tailored accordingly, or is the same 5.5-inch that had been tipped in the recent past. The smartphone would pack a 3300mAh battery, as compared to OnePlus One's 3100mAh. On the software side, the company claimed that it tried to keep the Oxygen OS as close to stock Android as possible for ease of use. In the AMAA session, Pei also confirmed that OnePlus 2's charging cable would be there in both 5-feet and 3.3-feet sizes.

Based on preliminary leaks and details revealed by OnePlus, the OnePlus 2, is likely to be priced between $322 (roughly Rs. 20,500) and $450 (roughly Rs. 28,500), would feature a fingerprint sensor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC, USB Type-C port, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, and most probably, a metal build.
