Google may not have revealed details about its Android Wear software project that extends Android to wearable devices. However, new details about the platform have been revealed thanks to a hands-on video of the LG G Watch by a German publication on YouTube.

Android Community, citing the AppDated video posted on YouTube, notes some of the features of the Android Wear which is expected to debut at Google's annual I/O event in June-end.

According to the hands-on video taken at an LG G3 launch event, the G Watch running Android Wear is seen with features such as alarm notifications, calendar appointments, messages, and other usual quick setting toggles. The video clearly shows Google Now running on the smartwatch with its usual card interface. Unfortunately, the video has been made 'private' by the YouTuber and is not viewable anymore.

The narrator notes the G Watch is running beta software, and also reiterates what LG announced earlier in May - the G Watch will be launched in June at EUR 199.

In March, Google unveiled plans to help develop smartwatches and other wearable computers based on its own Android operating system. Google had revealed that it was working with various brands such as Asus, HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung to bring watches powered by Android Wear later this year. The Mountain View giant had also announced that it has been closely working with chip makers like Broadcom, Imagination, Intel, Mediatek and Qualcomm, and even fashion brands like the Fossil Group, for upcoming smartwatches based on Android Wear.

On Thursday, Google leaving no stone unturned to promote its Android Wear software project, released video tutorials for developers on YouTube, clearly aiming at attracting more to the new Android Wear ecosystem. The new YouTube video named - "DevBytes - Android Wear: Page Notifications" by a developer advocate, Wayne Piekarski shows ability to add extra pages to existing notifications.

Motorola's Moto 360 and LG's G Watch are the first two devices to run Google's new Android Wear. LG announced that it would introduce its G Watch in the second quarter, while Motorola confirmed that its Moto 360 Android smartwatch would be available by summer.

Google is expected to finally release its Android Wear at annual developers' conference, I/O scheduled for June 25 to 26 at Moscone West in San Francisco.
