The Vivo X50 Pro was the first smartphone to launch with a gimbal camera system in India. This enabled the primary camera sensor to move physically in order to compensate for shakes and wobbles. Vivo has now launched the Vivo X60 Pro, the successor to the X50 Pro, which claims to improve upon the original. The Vivo X60 Pro also packs in the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC which should help it deliver on the performance front as well. I put the X60 Pro through all our usual tests to see how it fares.
Vivo's gimbal camera system was a big hit in the company's X50 series, and it has gotten even better in the latest X60 series. It has a 6.56-inch curved AMOLED display with Schott Xensation Up glass. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 at the back which gives the smartphone superior drop protection.
The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also has the Virtual RAM feature which allocates 3GB of storage as RAM when enabled.
The gimbal camera system on the Vivo X60 Pro comprises a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor that physically moves to compensate for minor shakes. It also has a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera and a 13-megapixel portrait camera. The Vivo X60 Pro clicks very good photos and should be your first pick if you intend to shoot a lot of videos.
