Being promoted by Xiaomi has 'Desh Ka Smartphone' or the smartphone for everyone, the Redmi 5A has been launched in India in two variants. The 2GB RAM + 16GB storage model is priced at Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. However, the first 5 million consumers will get a Rs. 1,000 price cut. As for the features and specifications, Redmi 5A has a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, 5-inch HD screen, non-removable 3000mAh battery that delivers up to 8 days of juice, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. This is a dual-SIM 4G VoLTE phone, and has a separate microSD card slot. It runs on Android 7.1.2-based MIUI 9 software, with features such as one-handed mode, app locker for password protection, and the ability to run two instances of the same app with different accounts.
