This week, it was reported that iPhone 16 Pro models will be assembled in India for the first time. The assembly will reportedly be done by Foxconn and represents Apple's move to reduce manufacturing dependence on China. The iPhone maker has also reportedly started training factory workers in India for the same. In more tech news this week, Snap and Meta are said to be readying their own versions of new augmented reality (AR) glasses. The two firms have been rivals in the social media space and are now reportedly going against each other in the hardware segment, as well. Snap will reportedly unveil its fifth-generation AR glasses next month, followed by Meta debuting its first full-fledged AR glasses, codenamed Orion, later in September.
