Did you know that back in 2009, at their Mountain View Headquarters, Google needed to clear weeds for cleanliness and to reduce fire risks? Instead of using lawn mowers, they opted for a greener solution by hiring 200 goats from a company called California Grazing. These goats efficiently ate the overgrowth, and their droppings acted as natural fertilizers. A border collie named Jen herded the goats. Google mentioned that this eco-friendly method cost the same as mowing, and the goats were much cuter to watch than lawn mowers. This initiative was a win-win, promoting sustainability while maintaining their campus.
