China Mobile and Huawei have announced the launch of the world's fastest internet network, with a backbone that can operate at 1.2 Tbps - that's 1,200Gbps - many times faster than internet networks available around the globe. Huawei claims that the new network is capable of transferring 150 movies in one second, and is comprised of nearly 2,900km (nearly the same as the distance between Arunachal Pradesh and Kutch) of optic fibre cables that run from the country's capital to the south of the country - there's currently no word on when the network will be available in other parts of the country.
