Hotstar Disney Plus is here. On the back of India's love for soap operas and cricket, Hotstar has built itself as the biggest streaming service, with two in every three Indians on the Internet using it. And that was before it got acquired by The Lion King, I mean, Disney last March. That was great news for everyone. Disney got the perfect gateway into Asia's biggest market. And you now have Disney+ content — on top of everything else — as part of your Hotstar subscription, which costs just Rs. 999 annually. For now, anyway. But there's no need to get too excited about Disney Plus Hotstar. The name may have changed, but the underlying service still has problems. Here's five reasons why.
