Sony has launched three new headphones in the Indian market including a 3-in-1 headphones model that features an integrated music player.
Sony's new NWZ-WH303 headphones allow consumers to use them as a wired headphone, by connecting them to any device capable of playing music, sporting a 3.5mm headphone jack, in addition to enabling consumers to store and play music on the headphones through its 4GB built-in storage and listen to it. The headphones also feature speakers, so they can even be used to play music without the need to wear them around the ears.
The integrated music player in the Sony NWZ-WH303 headphones features two sound enhancement features, Clear Bass and Clear Phase. While the Clear Bass feature offers deep-bass even when the volume is turned up, the Clear Phase mode optimises acoustic properties of the headphones through digital signal processing for clear, realistic sound with depth and transparent field orientation of voices and individual instruments, according to Sony.
The Sony NWZ-WH303's integrated player offers approximately one hour of continuous playback after just three minutes of charging and 20 hours continuous playback on full charge. Music can be transferred without the need for additional software on both Windows as well as OS X.
As per Sony, the headphones' speaker mode features xLoud and VPT (Virtualphones technology) air sound technologies, with the XLoud mode extending volume enhancing technology, and VPT reproduces naturally expanding sound fields in the air.
Sony also includes a 103cm cable for connecting the headphones to smartphones, tablets and laptops. The headphones are available at an MRP of Rs. 8,990.
Sony has also launched two new high-end Bluetooth and NFC-enabled headphone models, the MDR-10RNC and MDR-10RBT. Both headphones feature Beat Response Control and air vents for better control of airflow resistance in low-range sounds, as per Sony.
The MDR-10RNC headphones feature Sony's Digital Noise cancelation software engine and Dual Noise Sensor technology for high precision noise cancelation. Microphones located both inside and outside aids noise cancelation further.
In addition to this, the MDR-10RNC features Automatic AI (Artificial Inteligence) Noise Cancelation to select the best noise cancelation mode based on analysis of ambient noise.
The MDR-10RNC headphones also come with a Digital Equaliser and full digital S-Master amplifier to deliver ideal frequency response and high-quality music reproduction with full digital processing. The headphone sport pressure-relieving cushions. The headphones come with a 1.5m connecting cord, inline remote and microphone cord for smartphones, and plug adaptor for in-flight use.
The Sony MDR-10RBT headphones with NFC and Bluetooth 3.0 offer one-touch-pairing with a Bluetooth-compatible NFC device like a smartphone. Consumers can just tap a specified place on the headphones with the device and start listening to music. These also feature an embedded microphone for hands-free conversation with a Bluetooth enabled phone.
The MDR-10RBT headphones come with high resolution 40mm supported driver units for sideband (5Hz-40kHz) audio performance, and play 'high-quality' sound with AAC and atpX codec support. The headphones come with a 1.2m connecting cord, and a Micro-USB cable.
The MDR-10RNC headphones are available at an MRP of Rs. 14,990, while the MDR-10RBT headphones will be available at an MRP of Rs. 14,990 starting end of November.
