Sharp has launched a 90-inch LED 3D Internet TV in India, the LC-90LE740X, which according to the company is the biggest commercially available LED-backlit TV set in the Indian market. A 108-inch model will also be introduced in the coming weeks.

The 90-inch Sharp LC-90LE740X has been priced at Rs. 19,99,990, and features smart TV functionality, with access to Sharp's Acquos Net+ portal, and such apps as Skype. The TV can be controlled by smartphone app, especially useful for browsing, apart from the standard remote control.

The Sharp LC-90LE740X features a 1920x1080 pixel resolution, an Active Back Light, a viewing angle of 176 degrees, a 200Hz refresh rate, a 10-bit signal processor, the Sharp Acquos Engine, and a 'Mega' dynamic contrast ratio. The 3D display uses active shutter technology, and onboard 2D to 3D conversion is also possible. 3D glasses, surprisingly, are optional.

As for sound, the Sharp LC-90LE740X features two 10W speakers, and a 15W woofer, apart from SRS TruSurround HD and 3D surround, and a bass enhancer. The TV is rated to consume 381W of powering, supposedly dropping to 0.3W in standby mode. An 'eco mode' is also available.

As for ports, the Sharp LC-90LE740X supports, 4 HDMI inputs, 1 component, 3 USB, and more. Without the stand, the TV is 116 mm thick. A complete keyboard and mouse is also provided. For complete details and specifications, visit Sharp India's site.
