Samsung Launches World's Largest Curved UHD TV at IFA

Korean electronics major Samsung on Thursday launched what it is calling the world's largest bendable curved UHD TV, at 105 inches.

"It's a flat panel UHD TV. It's a curved UHD TV. We know some people love different viewing experience for different programmes. This 105-inch UHD TV is the world's first and the largest bendable TV," Samsung Electronics Senior Director Michael Zoller said.

The company says it has tripled its curved television portfolio in the last few months and now offers about 17 different models. The bendable television has been launched for European market at the moment.

Samsung announced launch of the world's largest curved television at IFA with screen size diagonally measuring 105-inch. Zoller said that curved television model is available across markets globally.

The price of the products were not announced. The curved UHD TV has 11 million pixel screen resolution which Samsung says is almost 5 times the resolution of full-HD television.

Samsung also launched the world's first curved sound speakers that pair with curved televisions.

Besides, the South Korean company unveiled its wireless audio multi-room speakers - M3 - that can be controlled from users' smart devices. These speakers can be wirelessly connected to a common device and music can be played on them simultaneously.

Samsung has partnered entertainment content providers like Amazon, Netflix for UHD television.

The company's representative said from this month, Samsung Curved UHD TVs will be able to support Netflix UHD streaming in additional European countries as Netflix further expands its service.
