Perfect Bones, an anime series being produced by Tokyo-based studio Production I.G - known for Ghost in the Shell, and Eden of the East - will be showcased only on Netflix, the latter announced on Wednesday night. That makes it first original anime series from Netflix that will be available in all 190 countries it's now available in.

"Among all the TV series and films Netflix offers, the titles I personally find the most amazing are Netflix originals," Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, president and CEO of Production I.G, said in a statement. "[We are] eager to present another impactful title brought through our creators' passion and imagination. We're very excited about Perfect Bones!"

The show's first season will contain 12 episodes, and is set in a future where scientists are busy trying to create the "perfect human" in a bid for universal peace. The project goes awry after some of the candidates - still children - are kidnapped by a strong evil force.

"We are incredibly excited to work with Production I.G, who have worked on hit series such as Attack on Titan and Psycho-Pass, in bringing one of the most daring new anime titles produced today to all Netflix members and anime fans around the world," said vice president of international originals for Netflix, Erik Barmack. "In an era where the Internet knows no bounds, we are proud to deliver high quality original anime to fans all over the world, at the exact same time, no matter where they live whether it be Japan, France, Mexico, the US, and beyond."

Meanwhile, the second season of Marvel's Daredevil - set for premiere on the online streaming service next month - saw the release of part two of its trailer. Where the first focused on setting up antihero the Punisher, the second establishes the presence of Murdock's former flame Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) who seems to be not doing a great job keeping him this side of the violence for good or bad debate. With three times the vigilantes in Hell's Kitchen as compared to the first season, the new season looks especially promising.

In other Marvel news, Finn Jones - popular for depicting Loras Tyrell in HBO's Game of Thrones - has been cast as the Iron Fist aka Danny Rand for an upcoming Netflix series, according to The Wrap. He was the only remaining member of the Defenders outift envisioned by Marvel and Netflix as a future mini-series, as the other three in Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) have already been seen in 2015.

Cox was the lead for Marvel's Daredevil that debuted back in April, while Ritter and Colter were part of Marvel's Jessica Jones in November. A Netflix series for Luke Cage is in development, and work should begin on Iron Fist once Netflix and Marvel make an official statement.
