The new Mi TV range is about to get new members as Xiaomi will launch new models at an event it will host on Wednesday, just three weeks after it launched the Mi TV 4 55-inch model. It is widely expected that Xiaomi will unveil two television models at the event - a 32-inch Mi TV 4A and a 43-inch Mi TV 4C. Both the models have previously been launched in China, and are rather affordable in its home market compared to the flagship Mi TV 4, which is priced at Rs. 39,999 in India. The launch of the new Mi TV models is being teased on the company’s social media accounts as well. With two more TVs in its India portfolio, Xiaomi will be well positioned to compete in the market against the likes of Vu and Micromax.
For the launch of the new Mi TV, a live stream will be available on the company’s website as well as on its Facebook page. The event is scheduled to start at 3pm IST on Wednesday. This is only an online event, and will not be held offline. It is expected that the new smart TV models will be available for purchase via Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Home stores once they are officially unveiled.
The 43-inch Xiaomi TV widely expected to launch in India was recently spotted on the company’s official website. The Mi TV 4C price in India in the listing was Rs. 27,999, which is a rather significant premium over its China price (CNY 1,849 or roughly Rs. 19,000). However, Rs. 27,999 may only be the MRP, while the MOP may be lesser than that, but we will have to wait for the event to find that out.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4C 43-inch model bears a full-HD display, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, a quad-core Amlogic T962 64-bit processor, and supports connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz dual band Wi-Fi), Bluetooth 4.2, Dolby, and DTS Audio. The Mi TV 4C also sports a blue light-reducing mode to reduce eye strain problem. The processor on the TV also supports HDR 10 and HLG.
