LG seems all set to introduce its first webOS based TV at the CES 2014, as @evleaks, the popular tipster, has leaked an image which purportedly reveals the yet-to-be-named first webOS TV from the company.

Notably, the leaked image shows the alleged LG webOS TV running the famous 'cards' interface, earlier seen on HP and Palm's webOS-based smartphones and tablets. The leaked image shows the alleged webOS TV including apps for Facebook, Twitter, Skype, YouTube, among others.

The tweet by @evleaks said, "webOS TV, by LG, 2014." Unfortunately, there is no word on the availability and pricing details of the rumoured webOS TV from LG.

In addition, the Wall Street Journal in a report cites a person familiar with LG's plans and notes that the company will showcase an Internet-connected TV based on webOS at CES in January. Further, the report claims that LG has plans to develop webOS, and even adapt it for LG's other consumer electronics including smartphones.

It's worth mentioning that LG acquired the webOS mobile operating system technology from Hewlett-Packard (HP) in February, 2013. The South Korean giant had also shared plans to use the webOS technology to enhance its Smart TV products, and range of other consumer electronics devices.

The webOS platform was initially developed by US smartphone manufacturer Palm, and was bought by HP in April 2010 for $1.2 billion.

LG has already announced its 105-inch curved ultra high definition television would be unveiled at CES 2014. LG had not revealed any details about availability and pricing of the 105-inch curved UHD TV.

LG's 105-inch curved UHD TV (Model 105UB9) boasts of a resolution of 5120x2160 pixels. The LG's 105-inch curved UHD TV uses LCD technology instead of OLED. The company claims the LCD panel used features improved TFT (Thin Film Transistor) technology to prevent colour leakage and offers a good viewing experience from any angle.
