First announced at this year's CES 2015, Harman has launched its JBL GO wireless portable Bluetooth speaker in India at an MRP of Rs. 2,999, and a special discounted price of Rs. 1,999 on Snapdeal where it is exclusively available. Notably, the speaker was launched at CES 2015 with a $30 (approximately Rs. 1,900) price tag.

JBL GO flaunts a squarish box-type design with buttons for power, Bluetooth, volume and call answering on one side. The palm-sized speaker features an inbuilt mic apart from echo and noise-cancellation technology.

Measuring 82.50x29.95x67.91mm, the JBL GO speaker is backed by a 600mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 5 hours of audio playback. Also, besides Bluetooth connectivity, the speaker is also equipped with aux-in compatibility. While the speaker was launched with eight colour variants - Black, Red, Orange, Pink, Grey, Blue, Yellow and Teal, Snapdeal for now has only listed the device in Black colour variant in India. The company is also touting a free 2-month Hungama Pro subscription if users purchase the speaker via the Snapdeal mobile app.

"The portable Bluetooth speaker market is booming in India and JBL has taken the lead in gaining significant mindshare in this space. Snapdeal has become the preferred destination for bluetooth speakers with the widest range of products at best prices. Being the largest marketplace with instant access to over 40 million users across the country, it gives brands an opportunity to launch products with instant reach to all our users. JBL Go on Snapdeal will be accessible to consumers across 5000 towns and cities. The product in itself will be a trendsetter in the market and we are excited about this launch," stated Tony Navin, Senior Vice President, Electronics and Home, Snapdeal.com at the launch.

"This innovative, tiny speaker takes a minimalist approach to size, and does it without sacrificing the maximum in sound," said Michael Mauser, president of HARMAN Lifestyle at CES 2015. "JBL GO is so portable, you simply can't resist taking it with you. It's so easy to carry, you'll want to take it to the beach, to a picnic, to ball games, soccer practice, or just out walking. We're really pleased to be able to put this speaker in the hands of our customers."
