There's a lot to look forward to in October, which just happens to begin this weekend. The week that whizzed past was a good one for Apple Music and Drake. Apple announced that Drake's album Views became the first to hit 1 billion streams on Apple Music. If you haven't checked it out already, you can do so right now.

The week is over and that means heading and having fun, but not all of us want to do that with our free time. Some of us are so exhausted after long workdays that we'd rather just sit at home and relax. That is when boredom strikes, and to help prevent that we have the Weekend Chill right here to help. Here are our top picks for the week.

TV
Luke Cage
The Marvel universe always has room for a new superhero and Luke Cage is the latest to join it. Luke Cage's superpower revolves around strength. His skin is impenetrable and he's super strong. The show itself deals with a lot more than just physical strength though, and touches upon issues of community, belonging, and race. Here's how Netflix describes the show.

"A hoodie-wearing, unbreakable ex-con fights to clear his name and save his neighborhood. He wasn't looking for a fight, but the people need a hero."

The show has received positive reviews and even if you're not a fan of Marvel you might want to check it out to see if you like Luke Cage. All 13 episodes of the first season were available on Netflix from September 30.

Westworld
Based on the 1973 film of the same name that was written and directed by Michael Crichton, Westworld is a new HBO TV show that airs on October 2. The science fiction thriller is set in a futuristic theme park called Westworld.

The show has been developed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy and if that isn't enough to interest you, maybe the fact that it stars Anthony Hopkins will. The fact that it's an HBO show means you don't get to binge watch it unlike on Netflix. It's one episode a week, so you'll just have to be patient.

Video games
NBA 2K17
Basketball isn't exactly the most popular sport in India, not by a long shot. That doesn't mean you shouldn't check out NBA 2K17. The game is pretty good and could end up entertaining you for most of the weekend. All you need is a gaming console or a PC to play.

A separate version of the game has also been released on iOS and Android so if you don't have full-fledged gaming hardware, you can always try that.

Dear Esther
One of the first walking simulators ever made, Dear Esther is finally coming to consoles. A cult hit with its roots in a Half Life 2 Mod, Dear Esther is unlike most games you will play. The charm of the game lies in exploration and the storytelling. The overall experience was top-notch on PC and we see no reason why that shouldn't be the case on consoles as well.

How to access: PS4, Xbox One
Time commitment: 3 hours

Other mentions
One More Pass
From the makers of One More Run, a cricket game with no batting or bowling comes One More Pass, where football meets Crossy Road. The game is quite addictive and free to download on iOS. The Android version is expected to release later.

Time commitment: Up to you

Banner Saga 2
Banner Saga 2 is the second game in series and it promises more of the awesome story and some extremely difficult choices to be made in the game. If you love role-playing games where every decision affects the story, and where there is no real good choice, then the Banner Saga 2 could be worth checking out.

How to access: App Store or Google Play. Also available on Steam
Time commitment: 20 hours

Music
American Band by Drive-By Truckers
Finally, you should definitely check out some new music. Alternative country-rock band Drive-By Truckers released a new album called American Band on September 30. It's the band's 11th studio album. Critics have responded favourably to it, which makes it a relatively safe bet for you to try.
