Toshiba TV -- really poor quality

My experience with Toshiba TV was shockingly poor. After spending Rs 27,000, the TV stopped switching on after two years. What most people don't know is that Toshiba outsources its after-sales service to Jeeves. I found this service lousy and incompetent. First the technician said the backlight has gone, and said he would replace it. After three hours of effort, he declared that the LED panel is gone too. I discovered that the panel had developed cracks that had not been there before.
After two weeks of pursuing on their toll-free number Toshiba quoted the price of a replacement panel at Rs 23,000, or 85% of what I had paid for the TV! I decided it was better to donate it to the raddiwala, which is where this TV belongs.
And a word about their toll-free customer care service: Poor and agonisingly slow. The Jeeves service provider was clueless about the quality of their service as well.
