Tata Docomo Launches 'Create Your Own Number' Option for Subscribers
Tata Docomo on Monday announced a unique 'Create Your Own Number' service under the campaign 'It's my life, it's my number'.

Existing and new subscribers can walk into any Tata Docomo brand store to create their own 10-digit mobile number depending on availability, basing it on their birth dates, favourite numbers and more. The company hasn't detailed additional charges for the customised number, if any.

"For the millennial generation, their smartphones have become an extension of their personalities. Many favour specific device brands and personalise their hardware to reflect their state of mind or other preferences. With this new service, we've made it possible for our customers to take this experience a step further and create personalised phone numbers. This is an industry first and we are very excited about bringing this service to our existing and new subscribers," said Sandeep Singal, Head - Branded Retail & Strategic Distribution, Tata Teleservices.

Last week, the company had launched the Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo dongle with a built-in 4400mAh battery that can also function as a power bank for charging electronic devices. It features a microSD card slot for support of up to 32GB of storage.

Priced at Rs. 2,899, the device will only be available at brand stores in Delhi and Mumbai for now. The Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo offers download speeds of up to 9.8Mbps and upload speeds of up to 3.6Mbps. It measures 76.4x67.2x23.0mm.
