Apart from the BBM services, RCOM is also offering 600 free local and national SMS per month to its pre-paid customers and 500 free local and national SMS per month to its post-paid users.
It is noteworthy that other operators such as Tata DoCoMo, Vodafone, Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular were already offering a similar priced plan to its BlackBerry customers. The obvious target for this tariff is the price-conscious, BBM-crazy student segment.
The other popular BlackBerry offered by operators such as Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, and Aircel offer is Rs. 399 pack for the prepaid users that offer free browsing (on the BlackBerry browser), integration of 10 e-mail accounts, free access to social network and BBM service for 30 days.
Some operators also offer a Rs.299 plan for pre-paid users that gives free BBM and free access to social network or an option of 10 integrated email accounts depending on the operator and the circle that one chooses.
