In order to rake in more customers and take on the stiff competition from Jio, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a Mega Offer wherein it is offering new customers benefits of its STV 399 for Rs. 100. This benefit is being introduced only to non-BSNL customers using LPG from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). This new offer will come in the form of a coupon issued to these LPG users, and they can then redeem the coupon for a new free BSNL SIM, and pay Rs. 100 for availing the STV 399 benefits.
This BSNL Mega Offer has been launched for new customers and customers who transfer to the network via Mobile Number Portability (MNP). Furthermore, this offer can be availed by IOCL and HPCL customers only, and these customers will find a coupon printed on their LPG bills, and this coupon will enable them to avail STV 399 benefits for Rs. 100. Additionally, this coupon will be made available in seven states only - Uttar Pradesh (East & West), Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
All the eligible customers can then avail a free BSNL SIM from the partnered outlets, and pay just Rs. 100 for the STV 399 (originally priced at Rs. 399. To recall, this BSNL plan was launched in August this year, and the benefits include unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, and 1GB data per day, for a validity of 74 days. Additionally, it also comes with free Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT) with unlimited song change option. Notably, the new offer will be applicable during national roaming as well, including Delhi and Mumbai circles.
Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL, said that the Mega Offer is a 'truly unlimited welcome gift to new and MNP prepaid customers', wherein they effectively pay just Rs. 1.35 per day for the first 74 days of their switching to BSNL.
