Founded back in 1969 as Samsung Electric Industries, Suwon, South Korea-headquartered Samsung Electronics today makes everything from televisions to semiconductors. It released its first Android smartphone in 2009, and can be credited with the launch of the first Android tablet back in 2010. The company is among the biggest players in the smartphone market in the world. It has recently developed smartphones running Tizen OS, as an alternative to its Android-based smartphones. Samsung's latest mobile launch is the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The mobile was launched in 21st October 2024. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is powered by 3.4 MHz octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and it comes with 16GB of RAM. The phone packs 512GB of internal storage. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition packs a 200-megapixel + 12-megapixel (f/2.2) + 10-megapixel (f/2.4) primary camera on the rear and a 10-megapixel (f/2.2) + 4-megapixel (f/1.8) front shooter for selfies. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition runs Android 14 and is powered by a 4400mAh. It measures 157.90 x 72.80 x 10.60 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 236.00 grams. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a dual SIM mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and eSIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, Active 4G on both SIM cards and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Fingerprint sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer.
