Sony may be facing a decline in demand for its mobile phones, but the Japanese electronics giant continues to succeed in other departments, including its gaming and camera sensor divisions. Following the Sony Xperia Z5 range, the company has continued to develop its smartphone lineup, and announced a new flagship 'X' range of smartphones earlier this year at MWC 2016.

Sony Xperia X Dual Summary

The Xperia X Dual is Sony's new flagship smartphone, but doesn't quite live up to the Japanese electronics giant's standards. It looks good, has a decent screen and great camera performance, but heating issues that affect performance and bloatware bring it down. Additionally the fingerprint sensor is inconsistent, and the price tag is far too high.

  • A phone with minor problems but a beast
Aditya Sharma (Jun 28, 2017) on Gadgets 360 Recommends
I have purchased this phone and believe me it is great. The back coating is great prevents any mark speakers are decent and everything is great. I mean you can nearly play any game without compromising any lag. Tge phone is a beast and literally it has great battery and using stamina mode does affect battery life by a day. The fast charging is great. Only downside is that though its camera is good but suffers from a noise due to lack of optical image stabilization. The vedio is excellent when shot with this phone but cmaera is not so great and suffers in low light. You wouldn't want to use manual mode as the pictures taken are just average. It also heats up if you use camera and its apps for a period of 4-5 min but if want a phone who can shoot decent pictures and is a beast in other fields like a performance and battery then go for it.I simply loved this phone and the design is sexy and great except for the volume button and the fingerprint sensor, which is in the power button kind of an excellent feature, but is inconsistent sometimes. Overall a great value for money with nothing to compromise as no phones are perfect but if the phone is great to look and give you everything in a great and decent way like performance and theb the cmaera provides us with nice features and a good picture then it is a flagship phone and so for me SONY XPERIA X DUAL IS A FLAGSHIP PHONE.

Vivekanand Gejapati (Feb 3, 2017) on Gadgets 360
I purchased this phone 2 months ago for 28000Rs.I noticed a strange problem with this phone. During calls, other person can't here properly due to defective microphone. When I searched in google, other customers also had the same problem. I contacted sony customer care several times and they asked me to repair the software.Even then the problem persisted. Ultimately I have given it in local service centre and they have sent my phone to mangalore for hardware repair. Please dont buy this defective phone.
