The Galaxy Note 5 is the final piece of the puzzle in Samsung's flagship smartphone line-up. The company announced it back in August, along with the Galaxy S6 Edge+ (Review | Pictures), and it is now available for purchase in India. So, what's changed in the Note 5? Is it a significant enough upgrade to jump ship from your Galaxy Note 4 (Review)? Let's find out.

Look and Feel
Samsung has kicked it up a notch in the aesthetics department as the Galaxy Note 5 borrows many design cues from its stylus-free siblings. The phone looks premium, and is on par with the HTCs and Apples of the world. Samsung uses 7000-series aluminium and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for the construction, which lends the Note 5 a sturdy, yet attractive feel. Unlike the Galaxy S6 Edge+, whose screen curves around the sides, the Note 5 has a more subtle curved back. This leaves you with sides wide enough to grip comfortably so there's less chance of it slipping from your hand. It's also easier to reach the power and volume buttons.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Summary

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is an iterative update to last year’s flagship. The build and finish has improved and feels more durable. The internal processor is lot more powerful too and can handle any app you throw at it. Battery life is also good despite it having a slightly smaller battery than the Galaxy Note 4. The S Pen stylus comes with improved software features, which is always welcomed. Finally, the camera and multimedia performance is up to the mark as well. You do lose out on a few things like expandable storage and the IR blaster but all things considered, it’s great option for those looking to explore their creative side.

just 100 days of use , the screen goes off ! service centre says .. moisture gone in and in a country hot and humid for 9 months can't these concerns taken care , the tech there shows me the moisture , who is this belongs to mine or the assembly workshop people , requires a DNA test.. Unbelievably and suddenly the phone is out of warranty , if it is this way samsung then the entire product perspective is third rated , horrible and hugely disappointing. I have been committed user of Apple , moved to sam(U)sung .. to a complete horror ... Bye..Bye.. samsung you habe made a big hole in pocket and my trust and you now are out of my vision

  • Awsome phone but sometimes the performance was buggy.
Sumit Jadhav (Jul 10, 2017) on Gadgets 360 Recommends
I am using the phone since from 5 months, under warranty ( obiously ), tha performance of the phone is awsome and very durable, camera and all are more than an expect. There are some software issues after upgrading to nougut 7.0, the display sometimes not responding ( $tucks on a black screen) the phone was on but not showing the display. I have to press tha power key rapidly and then it will get start. I dont know what is happening, but when i downgrade to android marshmello the problem was getted solved but when i update to android nougut the problem again get start. But leave it. I like my phone as i like it on the first day i brought. Thank you samsung. Plz just resolve the bug.
