OnePlus, popularly known as the maker of ‘flagship killer' smartphones, has grown over the years to become one of the most successful premium smartphone manufacturers in India. The OnePlus 6 (Review), helped propel the company to the top spot in the Indian premium phone segment, beating even Apple and Samsung. Since the launch of that model, OnePlus has continued to dominate this segment with the updated OnePlus 6T (Review).

OnePlus 7 Pro Summary

The OnePlus 7 Pro features a brand new design, with a glass back and front and curved sides. The phone feels very premium but’s it’s also very heavy. The Nebula Blue variant looks slick but it’s quite slippery, which makes single-handed use a real challenge. It has a massive 6.67-inch ‘Fluid AMOLED’ display with a QHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and support for HDR 10+ content. The display produces vivid colours, deep blacks and has good viewing angles.

The phone uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is said to be more power efficient than the previous one. Performance is excellent as the phone can handle heavy apps and games with ease. The new OxygenOS 9.5 debuts some new features such as Fnatic mode for prioritising games over notifications, an in-built screen recording, screenshot editor and more.

You also get stereo speakers here, for the first time in a OnePlus device. However, there’s no wireless charging or IP-rated waterproofing. The OnePlus 7 Pro also gets a new camera setup. The main 48-megapixel sensor captures detailed landscapes in both day and night, but we did find the autofocus to be a little inconsistent when shooting macros. The 8-megapixel telephoto camera offer 3x optical zoom, while the 16-megapixel wide-angle camera captures more of the scene in from of you. You also get a 16-megapixel, pop-up selfie camera, which snaps decent selfies. Finally, the 4000mAh battery easily lasts for a full day on one charge and there’s fast charging support too.

  • A phone worth its price.
    Hemanth M (Sep 22, 2019) on Gadgets 360 Recommends
I bought my Oneplus 7pro the very firsr day it was open to buy i.e May 16th. Till today this baby has been my daily driver. I am a person who mostly prefers performance over looks. But this beauty here has been head turner. People ask me where ever theu see the phone, 'Which phone is it?'. Now let me come to review, after my usage of 4 months, one word its a beast. Crazy fast processor. Opening apps, switching between among them frequently e yet there is absolutely no lag. The display, 90hz till date. Nt a single day i felt i should tone it to 60 hz. Its just too awesome to loose once you use it. I had attended the launch event in bangalore, so they did gave me a type c headphones from oneplus. But i also got the bluetoooth ones from the store. Battery with 90hz....people seem skeptical. Let me say i use this phone at work like constantly. There are calls going on. Mails, whatsapp, youtube videos, music playing on bluetooth. And 4g on during my work place. When i am back home 12 hrs later at 8 pm i still have 40 percent left off the 90-95 battery i take out in morning. If thats not amazing battery life then people should just probably stick to fixed land lines. Lets come to camera. Agreed not the best out there. But its the best at its price. Wide angle, 3x zoom, or rhe normal 48mp just shoots pretty much everything awesome. People always ask out for my phone when ever we have a get together for taking pics. Just becoz they know it out performs all the phones there. Its a bit bulky. But you will get used to it. The best thing i love about this phone, apart from its performance and that display, is the warp charging. Its freaking sick fast. I plug for 30 mins, when i got get ready and i am ready to roll. All i need is 10-15 mins if it goes low on battery (which rarely happens) and i am back at 60-70 percent charge. The premiumness when you hold it in your hand just makes it feel so good to have. To get the premium top end class experience at a marginal of the price, i would say its the best deal. So yes this phone is costlier than its predecessors, but the price is worth the experience. This is my second oneplus, I had oneplus5T before this. And the 5T is still performing like a beast, being used by my brother. After me now there are 6 people in my friends and relatives who have gone for oneplus, not just because its good, its also for the worthyness of the price. I am very happy with the device. Peaceout.

This is with regards to the oneplus 7 pro mobile phone I use . On 7th January 2021 evening all of sudden front camera stopped working . I called oneplus helpline and they advised me few steps to run and check if it starts working but failed to help further which then the executive of yours guided me to visit near by oneplus care center. I reside in mumbai ( chembur area). So near by oneplus center for me is Kurla phoenix market City. I visited the store yesterday at 7 pm. After visiting the store the executive of yours checked my phone and advised me that there is simple repair required which will cost me 1200 indian rupees. However he advised me to submit the phone today which is on 8th of January 2021 after 3 pm so he will get this phone repair within 2 hours time . Insisted that i should not submit the phone to them now as they were at closing hours and phone repair would take more them and half hour .and would be no use to keep phone with them for a night . As per their advice I visited the store today at 3 PM .When I visited them and explained issue I have for camera and I visited them yesterday and explained above details . they checked and said there is display burning on phone which is company defect however as my phone has little dent so they would not be able to help me . I will have to pay 17000 plus amount for repair of display along with camera repair charges . I am at complete shock when I am been asked to pay for display repair when the defect is from company side. The phone display burning issue is due to company defect however I am been asked to pay display charges just because there is little dent which is avoidable. Which is not even visible . How can company expect phone to be is best shape after use of 1 year . And as an customer I didn't knew there is defect in one plus phone display . I am regular customer of oneplus phone. But this to to my surprise that company is just taking their hands off from repairing the defect which is from their end and expecting customer to pay for an issue which is not arise by them.

  • Horrendous services
Gautam Sethi (Nov 19, 2019) on Gadgets 360
After an year of owning, it develops a problem and asking amount to fix it was around 10k, so I declined their services. They sent me a damaged phone with gaps all over. Unprofessional and substandard level by OnePlus. If I want this kind of after sale service I would want to buy an inexpensive phone from some ABC company Service Reference ID 0FZ330VS2N Colonel Sethi
